I confess that Sarah and I stare out the windows of F-Sequence Studio like little kids when we’re expecting clients.  It’s probably a little silly that we pretend that we’re not staring – I’ll fiddle with my Spotify playlist or pretend to do stuff on Facebook and Sarah will fix the blinds over and over.  When our wedding photography clients, Tim & Sarah got out of their car, we practically cheered!  “Ooh she’s got a cool head wreath!” and “oh em gee, I love the Hawaiian shirt!” we loved their look – non traditional, cool and unique.

It’s hard to act like a grown up when you really want to start jumping up and down and tell your clients how freaking awesome they look.

Communication is everything when wedding photographers work with a new client and I always like to spend a little time getting know a little bit about wedding clients before a shoot.  Sarah was having her makeup done by Sarah (..that’s going to get confusing; the bride’s name is Sarah and my wife/assistant/makeup artist’s name is also Sarah) and we used that time to just chat.  They like similar music as us and we spent almost an hour just cracking jokes together and laughing.  These are our kind of people!

Tim and Sarah are from Colorado and had recently cancelled their big traditional wedding for a fun, non traditional wedding elopement in LV.  I totally get this – if we hadn’t won our wedding from a radio station contest, we probably would have eloped as well; I’m a fairly non traditional guy after all.

Speaking of the name confusion though, I kept saying “Sarah” and both women would respond.  So I started calling my Sarah “Sarah Bear” and it turns out that Tim calls HIS Sarah “Sarah Bear” as well.  I have a distinct rule about never calling my Sarah anything like “honey” during a shoot.  I did that once and a model thought I was talking about her….very embarrassing!

So we took our shoot to Fremont Street in downtown LV.  I highly recommend Fremont Street for anyone looking for “Vegas style” wedding photography.  There’s more charm than the strip, cooler looking casinos and best of all, everything is within walking distance.

I’ve recently rediscovered my love of shooting weddings on Fremont Street – it’s the part of Vegas that I think has the most ‘soul’ to it (especially at night!) and every time we’re there I find a new little side street or angle or concept to try out.

Congrats to our happy bride and groom.  Enjoy the photos and don’t forget to check out our wedding photography gallery afterwards!

Sarah & Tim are also fearless and were happy to tear up the dance floor outside of The D and Four Queens while I snapped away!

This was the world’s slinkiest alley, but Tim & Sarah tolerated the stench long enough to get a few nifty shots I had in mind.

LV is the best town for a wedding.  Case and point: a random person walked up and gave our bride and groom a 2 dollar bill and congratulated them!  It reminded me of a story I shared with Sarah & Tim about a man that was arrested for paying in 2 dollar bills at Best Buy.  The clerks didn’t realize that 2 dollar bills existed!

Tim demonstrates his incredible physical prowess.  Note: I cannot do either of the following things.  I also cannot rock a Hawaiian shirt like this either.  Where Tim looks like this awesome mix of Buddy Holly and Weezer, I would look like pure disappointment.  To be fair though, my Sarah probably couldn’t rock a head wreath like Tim’s Sarah either.  Hanging out with Tim and Sarah is like watching that table of the cool, non traditional kids in high school.

Very big props go out to Sarah (MY Sarah this time) for her amazing makeup job.  There’s very little skin editing in these shots – her makeup is just FLAWLESS.  Perfect color matching and coverage gave such a natural look to the shots!

P.S. – Don’t forget to keep checking the F-Sequence Studio Facebook page; As soon as I have a chance, we’re planning something big to be announced first on Facebook (ominous grin)!  Also, leave a us comment below – we’re needy like that and always appreciate it! icon biggrin Wedding photography on Fremont Street
